Veteran Retreats Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity co-founded in 2015 by Henah Hannah. We run holistic retreats focused on restorative well-being and transformational growth for veterans, active military members and their dependents, built on peer-to-peer support.
Consultative Status with the United Nations
Since 2026, Veteran Retreats Foundation has held Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC). This status, granted by ECOSOC on the recommendation of its Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations, allows VRF to participate in designated United Nations meetings, events and consultations open to accredited civil society organizations, and to contribute our experience serving veterans, first responders, active military and their families to the work of the Council. VRF is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is not part of, or endorsed by, the United Nations.
Our consultative status allows us to bring the voices of veterans, first responders and military families into international conversations on health, wellbeing and peer support.
